This past Saturday, we held our annual team dinner to celebrate the success of the 2017-2018 winter season. About fifty of our crew and their family members attended the event, which was held at Scoogi’s in Flourtown, PA.
The weather couldn’t have been better (though a few of us were hoping for snow). We kicked off the night with drinks and conversation outside around our new Snowrator. After taking a company picture, we all headed inside for a delectable meal of lasagna, salmon, and roast beef.
The food was outstanding and the drinks flowed continuously. The TV streamed video clips from our YouTube channel, and joyful conversation filled the air.
Towards the end of the night, we handed out Wawa gift cards via random drawing. Owner Larry Oelschlegel, Jr. spoke, expressing his gratitude for the team’s hard work and looking forward to next season. “I’m living the dream,” he said, receiving a warm ovation, looking back on growing the business and comparing it to raising his own children.
After that, with full bellies and hearts, we all went home. Family is very important to us, and we treat all of our employees as members of our own. Events like these reinforce this attitude, and moreover, establish us as a community player. Join the team and see the difference!
