No winter storm is the same, and so Suburban Snow Plow employs a host of specialized equipment to tackle each job.

Our trucks are all Ford F-250 and F-350 diesels for that extra power when it’s needed.  And we love our Western Wide-Out plows, which feature wings that can extend outwards and also “scoop” snow making for fewer passes and increased efficiency.

We also heavily rely on Bobcat skid steer loaders.  Through the use of specialized attachments, these workhorses pull double and even triple duty, whether it’s loading or unloading salt skids, pushing heavy duty piles with our Western Prodigy plows and buckets, or doing cleanup with our Skid Pro 84″ Snow Broom depending on the conditions.  And their zero-turn capabilities make them ideal for maneuvering in tight spaces.

Sidewalks are a breeze with our Ventrac 3000 and Snowrator tractors, and Polaris ATVs with Boss V-plows allow us to push right through the deep stuff.

We manufacture a brine anti-icing pretreatment solution at our warehouse using a custom designed mixer with a 750-gallon tank (with additional storage capacity planned for 2019).  A 300-gallon custom brine application system allows us to pre-treat up to 6.5 lane miles of drivable surface between refills.

Our Isuzu hooklift trucks provide modular payload capabilities enabling us to adapt to any situation required.  In addition to plowing snow (with 9’6″ Western MVP3 V-plows), they can ferry around a host of custom payloads, including:

  • SaltDogg 6-yard hydraulic conveyer chain bulk salt spreader
  • VSI custom 1300-gallon brine application system (enough for nearly 30 lane miles continuously per truck)
  • chipper boxes, dump beds, flat beds, and more!

Technology

Slip and fall liability is no laughing matter.  To keep on top of record keeping, Suburban Snow Plow uses a state of the art mobile app to gather required information and track the location of all our crews during snow events.  The app interfaces with the web-based LMN software developed by the Canadian software company of the same name.

LMN enables us to quickly gather information about your site before, during, and after snow events.  During preseason site engineering surveys, it enables us to easily calculate lot areas and sidewalk lengths.  Individual services are set up as tasks for the servicing crew to check off as they complete them.  It allows for consistency among crews and ensures quality of service.

After snow removal, crews upload timestamped pictures showing the condition of the site, providing visual evidence of due diligence in removing snow accumulation.  With LMN on our side, we can rest assured after a long day, confident that our customers are well protected against liability suits.   How well do you sleep at night?
